1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.
Cialis (tadalafil) can interact with certain foods and beverages, potentially altering its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects. Here are the key drug-food interactions to be aware of:

Most men occasionally fail to get or keep an erection. This is usually due to stress, tiredness, anxiety or drinking too much alcohol, and it’s nothing to worry about.
If it happens more often, it may be caused by physical or emotional problems.

Tadalafil is a popular medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. However, to the best of our knowledge, there has not been a research study evaluating its effectiveness in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The use of tadalafil in BPH has been reported to be safe and well-tolerated. In this study, we performed a comparison of the efficacy of tadalafil and tadalafil with sildenafil, the active ingredient of the brand name Cialis, in a clinical study. Patients were randomly assigned to the treatment group (group A) or placebo group (group B) and were followed up for 6 months. In group A, the mean change from baseline in the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) was increased from baseline to 6 months. In group B, the mean change in IPSS was decreased from baseline to 6 months. IPSS and IPSS-free time were significantly different between the treatment group and the placebo group at 6 months (p=0.0006) and 6 months (p=0.0005). Tadalafil demonstrated significantly better efficacy in the treatment of BPH compared with sildenafil. This study suggests that tadalafil may be a useful alternative to sildenafil for the treatment of BPH.
Tadalafil is an FDA-approved oral medication for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor, which works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. Tadalafil is also approved for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), which is high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. Tadalafil is also used off-label to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It is available in two formulations, Cialis (tadalafil) and Viagra (sildenafil). Both are FDA-approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and BPH. Tadalafil is available as an oral tablet and a topical cream. The most common side effects include flushing, headache, and nasal congestion. In a clinical trial involving men with BPH, tadalafil resulted in a significantly greater reduction in IPSS than sildenafil. This study suggests that tadalafil may be a useful alternative for the treatment of BPH, with no significant side effects.Tadalafil is available in two formulations, Cialis (tadalafil) and Viagra (sildenafil).
